Trek to Nongriat village

We started trek from Tyrna village at 3:30 pm and reached our homestay at around 4:22 pm . It was a beautiful trek through greenery with few shops and one village. There was one suspension bridge in between . There is one living roots bridge at the entrance to the village.

Nongriat village

It is a small village with few homestays. We stayed at Biggest homestay – Serene homestay . It is the biggest building in the village with 3 floors. We were told that it took around 12 years to construct it. Living roots bridge is around 100 meters from the homestay. I saw Three living roots bridge near the village:

  • Single roots bridge – at the enterance to the village
  • Double decker roots bridge – inside village
  • Closed single roots bridge – while going to blue lagoon

After relaxing for 1 hour , we went to visit double decker living roots bridge.
We spent around 1.5 hours at the bridge. There is a small pool below the bridge.
It has lots of fishes. There is a small shop near the bridge for tea, snacks, etc.
